Chicken Karahi (Wok)
Chicken1 Kg (Cut into 10-12 pieces)
Tomatoes2 Cups (fine chopped)
Ginger2 tsp (paste)
Garlic2 tsp (paste)
Red Chili powder1 tsp
Black pepper powder1 tsp
Turmeric Powder½ tsp
Hot Spices Powder1 tsp
Salt1 tsp or as per your taste
Coriander leaves2 tsp (fine chopped)
Green Chili4-5 (whole)
Oil½ cup

Preparation Method

  1. This delicious dish is cooked in a wok but you may use any pot if don’t have a wok (karahi)
  2. Firstly, fry the chicken along with garlic & ginger paste until all water of chicken is dried.
  3. Add oil and fry it on medium flame for 5 minutes.
  4. After that, add all ingredients except Tomatoes, Green Chilies, Hot Spices powder and Green Coriander leaves.
  5. Fry it on medium heat until chicken changes its colour and becomes softened.
  6. Add Tomatoes and Green Chilies.
  7. Now cook it on high flame until tomatoes are tendered.
  8. Fry it till the time, oil separates.
  9. Add Hot Spices Powder and fine chopper green coriander leaves.
  10. Remove from flame and serve hot with roti/naan/bread.
